Weekly meal plan 3.22.10

Monday, March 22nd, 2010

It’s a very busy week around here. We are trying to get ready to go out of town with our Church youth group. We are going to Lone Tree Bible Ranch and I am so excited. We have always enjoyed going and every once in a while if the wind is blowing right I think I can smell the mixture of mountain air, trees and hot chocolate. Surely, I’m not the only person who can, right?  I love the everything about being there, from the smells to the relaxing atmosphere, I am always up for going. Oh, and a plus: the food is amazing!

Here is this weeks plan.

Monday: Jace’s work dinner

Tuesday: pasta in cream sauce (not sure exactly how we are going to do it yet)

Wednesday: king ranch casserole

Thursday: take out while we are trying to pack

Friday: Lone Tree!!!!!!

Weekly meal plan 3.15.10

Monday, March 15th, 2010

Well, we are back on schuedule. The house is back together and we are ready to cook again. I have a little more time on my hands now so I will be cooking quite a bit more. That means more recipes for you guys. Here’s this weeks plan.

Tonight: skirt steak with baked beans and corn

Tuesday: Roasted nutmeg chicken with mashed potatoes

Wednesday: baked potato dinner at the church.

Thursday: take out before praise and worship practice

Friday: date night

I’m excited about the roasted chicken because there are tons of things I can do with the leftovers. Everything from enchiladas to soups. Also we are putting together the meal at the church on Wednesday night so if you are reading this in the Midland area come out and eat to support the youth group.

Happy eating!

Crazy week

Monday, March 8th, 2010

I just wanted to let everyone know that there will not be a meal plan for this week because we have house guests. Jace’s parents are in town this week so more than likely we will be eating out most nights.  The meal plans will pick back up next week.

Tuesday: chicken and whole wheat rotini in a spicy cream sauce
Wednesday: three meat pizza on a whole wheat pizza dough
Thursday: take out before practice
Friday: steak and mac and cheese

Weekly meal plan 2.22.10

Monday, February 22nd, 2010

This weeks meal plan might sound a little bit like last weeks. We bought some 5 spice seasoning for our stir fry last week and liked it so much that we decided to make something else with it. It has Szechwan pepper, star anise, ground fennel seeds, ground cloves, cinnamon, salt and white pepper, all in one bottle. It has this great sweet flavor from the cinnamon and cloves but a spicy flavor from the pepper. Last week we put it on beef with some peppers and onions over white rice and it was really good. So this week we are using chicken and noodles. If it works out well I’ll post the recipe. Here’s this weeks plan.

Tonight: five spice chicken and noodles
Tuesday: sausage jambalaya (we may throw some chicken in there do depending on our mood)
Wednesday: turkey and cheese paninis
Thursday: take out before praise and worship practice
Friday: date night!

Happy eating!
